It’s amazing when we receive a donation from anyone. We are always grateful and excited that a donor chose to support The Change 4 Children’s Foundation. Today, we had an extra special donation. A friend we have known for years asked me over to collect her donation.
She had tears in her eyes when she opened the door. She had recently lost her stepfather. While going through his things, she found amongst them her brother’s wallet with some money inside it. He had passed away long ago.
She knew she didn’t want to keep the money. She wanted to use the money towards a cause that her brother would have supported. We feel so fortunate that she chose Change 4 Children’s Foundation.
Her brother had spent time in the hospital as an adolescent. This felt right to her. She thanked me for coming. She knew he would have been happy to support a charity that supported children feeling better during their hospital stay or treatment.
This donation will help a lot of kids and though they won’t know where the money came from, she will and we will.
